Spark! Imagination and Science Center is a hands-on children’s museum and community learning space in Morgantown where children and families explore science, creativity, movement, sensory play, and emotional growth through meaningful experiences.

Children learn best when they can move, experiment, create, build, question, imagine, and connect. Spark! was designed to support the whole child — not just academically, but socially, emotionally, creatively, and physically.

Every space invites exploration. Every experience encourages curiosity. And every visit creates opportunities for families, caregivers, educators, and children to discover something together

What you will experience

Spark! began in 1997 as a grassroots effort led by parents who believed all children deserve access to meaningful, play-based learning. What started as a small community initiative has evolved into Spark! Imagination and Science Center—the region’s only hands-on children’s museum and science center serving families across North Central West Virginia, Southwest Pennsylvania, and Mountain Maryland.

Today, Spark! inspires curiosity and creativity through interactive exhibits and programs designed to spark a lifelong love of learning. While our reach spans a 10-county region, we remain a small, mission-driven organization—operating in an intimate space with a dedicated team committed to making high-quality learning experiences accessible to our community.
